Michael Moore: Sicko

Documentary purists may not agree with the way Michael Moore manipulate his footages to put forward his liberal political views. However, hardly anyone disagrees that Michael Moore is gifted at telling non-fictional stories. After all, he won an Oscar with “Bowling for Columbine”.

I attended a documentary masterclass by Alan Rosenthal some years ago. He is the author of the documentary-making bible, “Writing, Directing, and Producing Documentary Films and Videos” and he was using a script by Michael Moore to teach us.

However, my favourite is not “Bowling” but “Sicko”. Perhaps it’s because I am an advocate for free medical welfare.
