Nowadays, with the rising influence of social media and internet, companies are no longer relying on traditional media alone to reach out to their customers. Wacoal Thailand, for example, has created a series of short films to sell more bras. These short films do not market Wacoal bras directly but rather try to win over their customers subtly and subconsciously. Such viral marketing also cost less for the companies compared to buying TVC spots. Looks like this will continue to be the trend and this means more work and opportunities for filmmakers.
